New Custom Website for Saint Joseph Cathedral

Faith in Marketing is excited to launch the new custom website for the historic Saint Joseph Cathedral in downtown San Diego!

“The Cathedral is a special place, and the parishioners are wonderful,” said Thom Hiatt, co-owner of Faith in Marketing. “The parish family (and the many visitors from around the world) are blessed to be part of an amazing history in San Diego.”

Thom & Melissa Hiatt

“When you look at everything the Cathedral family has accomplished in the last 100+ years, it’s just exciting for us to be a part of it,” said Melissa Hiatt, the graphic designer and programmer for the modern website. She created the site from scratch.

The website responds to the screen size of any device. So whether you are using your phone or your home theater screen, St. Joseph Cathedral’s new website will look great.

In addition to the new website, Faith in Marketing is developing the parish’s new mobile home page app… a great service we provide at no extra charge with each new website project. “They own it all. There’s nothing proprietary about it. And there are no long-term contracts,” added Thom. “We’ve built dozens of custom sites for Catholic parishes, schools and organizations in Southern California. Each project is unique and very special to us.”

Dorinamae Cueva

“I love that on day ONE, after a 30-minute telephone training, Dorinamae Cueva (the parish’s Young Adult Coordinator / Social Media Director) had populated the EVENTS page with literally dozens of activities for parishioners of all ages. It really shows how vibrant of a parish they are… and how much they care about modern communications,” said Thom. Dorinamae also has plans to add news articles and photos a few times each week, helping to keep the fresh site FRESH.

Faith in Marketing trains every new website client in-person during a 2-hour class that’s included. “You can call it a class, but it’s more fun than anything,” said Melissa. “When you hire Faith in Marketing, editing your own site is simple. We show you how. More than anything, class time is spent discussing the value of adding content to your site. All staff members are welcome to attend.”

Visitors to the Cathedral’s new website will enjoy the Virtual Tour as well. No matter where you happen to be in the world, you can use your mouse or fingers to view the inside of the church, the choir loft, the hall, and the cafe from any angle. That’s great, but nothing beats visiting St. Joseph Cathedral in person!
